A Few Questions....
Hi All,

My first post so Hello to you all. Thumbs Up

I have just got hold of a Nov 07 110 XS DC and have a few questions for all you experts out there...

What are the diferences between the 07 and 08 model years? Will mine be an 07 0r 08 model? Where can you tell, from the VIN? (Someone will no doubt point me to a previous post..)

I am preparing the bus for a long overland trip this spring and will be fitting a winch - has anyone used the Quick-Detachable winch setup using a USA-Style 2" hitch reciever front and back - winch can be stored in the back and connected front or back as needed. About same price as conventional rear towbar/Front Winch Bumper setup but more versitile. Thughts?

Need a hard-top. Anyone using the aluminium hard-tops from Nene or the Trojan brand? Any reccomendations?

Look forward to hearing from any of you.

Cheers, Rick.

Hi Rick,

the VIN number is needed to tell which improvements its had but even then i am not sure anyone has the definitive list for you to compare that to.

Cl2 receiver style winch cradles - yes i have used one, i had one for my 110 it worked very well had the benefit of a front or rear winch when needed, the rest of the time it sat in the back keeping nice and dry and out of harms way. the only disadvantage of it is approach and departure angles with it fitted plus the weight moving it in/out the vehicle etc. changing to synthetic rope makes it much more manageable.

it worked well for me anyway, i have the cradle, front chassis mount and rear (dixon bate style) mount complete setup thats for sale if your interested in 2nd hand. used for 6mth period then sat on the shelf for last 3years or so. if you email me i can send some pictures of it over, its in good condition - came from Frogs Island initially. Cheers
