2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Keswick Green
Prop Shaft Lengths changed over years?
I pulled the prop shafts in my 2014 puma 110 but now curious if they are the same length as previous defenders? Ie could I use for a NAS or ROW
Project?

It will be the same length only if it coming off another Puma.
Td5/300 and 200/earlier have different transfer case position relative to chassis, hence different prop lengths. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Salisbury rear diff had a longer nose too, so another combination of lengths.

France 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Zermatt Silver
Just measured my propshafts the other day on my 110 Puma while greasing them on the bench.
If it can help, front is 675mm closed length, rear is 1070mm closed length.

Just be mindful that both front and rear propshafts are phased on a Puma to compromise for vibrations in the driveline. This is needed as the transfer box is mounted with an unusual angle due to the Ford engine and MT82 gearbox assembly. If my notes are correct (I am not under the truck atm), the front propshaft have the two UJ yokes phased 45° with each other, and the rear propshaft have the two UJ yokes phased 67,5°. The later being a magical number from Land Rover engineering excellence, and pretty unique in defender rear propshaft history.

So my advice here is also to look at the phasing (which can be reset easily) when re-using Puma propshaft for another project Defender - not only the length.
