Dynatrol Specialist please?
I am looking for a Dynatrol specialist in my area that could spray my new Defender when it arrives at the start of March? Someone based between Northampton, Milton Keynes and Banbury ideally. And maybe they could wind in my steering stops at the same time to give me a better turning circle. I'm not very mechanically minded (he says choosing a Defender!!)

"Not mechanically minded"??....I know where you're coming from.......neither am I, but at least where you live, you've got access to plenty of Defender "specialists".....they're a bit thin on the ground in Aus.
Cheers, Pickles.

Pickles - I'm far too envious of the fact you live in Oz to have any sympathy! Thumbs Up

What's wrong with England?...I came out with my parents from Manchester in 1958, but still consider myself English, although in reality I'm 50% Welsh, Mum coming from Rhymney.
Yes, Australia has been good to my sister & I, but Aus is not as good as it used to be, same problems the world over I guess.
You could emigrate?
Cheers, Pickles.

I tried 5 years ago, but as we were both just over 40 we were told we were too old! I did a year traveling Oz in my late teens and fell in love with the country. I always promised myself I'd go back and hopefully live there permanently but family commitments and work/life took over until by the time we were ready the country didn't want us! Ce la vie. But I would be living there now if I could.
Britain is fantastic, but to have a reasonable quality of life here you have to live, sleep and breath work with so little time to yourself. wages haven't changed in 10 years and yet the cost of living has shot up at an alarming rate! I'd prefer to be in Oz

Hi Smilesapart .. I haven't found anyone in this area to do this service. I'm going to speak to Zagato who is down in Redhill to do mine when the weather gets better.

If you need help with the little things like winding in the steering stops when it arrives then drop me a pm. 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X

A bad report about CSK? You mean the 'one' report where service didn't reach the expected standard but excellent service recovery was put in place?

I had two Defenders done. One a 2 month old TDCi and the second, a mucky well used 2003 TD5. Both were done to a very high standard. I can assure you, I got underneath with an inspection lamp and went over them carefully.

In the case I assume you are referring to, the service recovery offered was excellent. The customer, however, chose not to allow this to happen even after receiving a full refund and vented on a public forum. This drew in bystanders who also had a pop rather than see the situation for what it was. While this venting will no doubt have refined the service received by CSK even further, I am at pains to see how Chris could have recovered this mistake any better.

If I was to respond like many on this forum have at a mistake for the many companies I deal with for services, I would not currently have gas, electric and water connected to my house. My vehicle would have not been serviced at a main dealer or inde for the last 15years and I would walk to London for work and to Spain on holiday avoiding any form of public transport or Airline. I also would not be writing this as no internet company would ever have a line into my house. 1951 80" S1 2.0

Zagato is the man Thumbs Up

I doubt there are many who would do as thorough a job as he does. Bow down

I agree with getting it done straight from the showroom.

Order the Dinatrol from rejel.com in Bedford for overnight delivery: get their own brand it is the "old" Dinatrol and many think it better than the new formula. For a 110, I ordered their "XL Motorhome" pack to make sure everything was covered.

I left the car with Zagato overnight. Redhill to MK or Flitwick is very easy on the train. PM him via this forum. 1970 Series 2A 88"

Still on my to-do list for the spring. Luckily all the rain we've had has washed what little salt there was on the roads off.

This place is on my short-list as they use Dinitrol 3125 in all cavities and 4941 underneath and appear to take up to 2 days to allow it to dry out before applying: http://www.rust.co.uk/products/category/32...-from-250/
