I got myself a little burried at the top of a sharp dune and struggled to get going.
I heared a terrible rubbing from the handbreak straight after and noted a slight wift of smoke off the drum but no terrible smell at all. I stopped and slacked the adjuster all the way off and after another 2 minutes of driving all the sand must of fallen out cause the noise lessened and then stopped. I first thought I had bent the drum but after it stopped making the rubbing sound I guessed it was just sand. Do I still need to remove the drum and clean inside and do you guys think the seal would have kept out any sand from t-case? Thanks James Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |
