floor paint
hi guys, my 2008 110 has no carpet, so only the front has the rubber matting. I am buying mats for the rest of the car, but the floor is white and grotty, it's scratched, dirty and yellowed. I think white is a bad colour for a floor period and thinking of sanding off the worse of the scratches and hand painting or rollering on some of the metallic finish hamerite, as i think it might be quite strong and lasting.

Does anyone have an better ideas? its a 2008 and in relatively good nick, so i dont want to really bodge it... but white is horrible and i dont want carpets, as down here sand gets everywhere...

Take the floor plates out and paint them so as not to get the paint over anything else.

If at some point you want to sell the vehicle you could always repaint or buy a set off Ebay to replace

I agree with above...
so much easier to remove floor plates.
You will get a much better job....I would spray paint too..modern Acrylic paint is very hard wearing.
I would also buy stainless bolts to re-secure..finishes the job lovely Cool

Clemmo Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow....

is it hard enough and will it look ok? i will have mats on top but it will show at edges i guess.

is it a bit naff or OK?

What about getting it covered in a spray on truck bed liner? Can't give you any names I'm afraid, though I'm sure one of the magazines had a feature/advertisement sometime in the last year. Perhaps someone else can remember.

Alternatively make a teak liner Whistle . Whilst I know they are not to everyone's taste, there is a reason they were used on boats for centuries.

Try POR15, it's infinitely better than Hammerite. Darren

guys, im in Gibrlatar, its a little bit like a rock at the bottom of europe that has apes jumping around on it, actually, not a little like that, its a LOT like that.

The POR15 looks interesting, good for the chasis i would have thought, no?
