What’s the stickiest strongest contact adhesive.
Looking for the best adhesive to stick carpet and vinyl to plywood. Not had a lot of luck with aerosol ones, so maybe brush on is better? I used a Screwfix aerosol one to stick vehicle carpet when I fitted out the back of the Landy and it was garbage. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Some of them aren’t good at all as you say.
Just this week I’ve used this one:

I haven’t had a problem at all with it, best one I’ve used.
It is indeed a spray type though, but it work well is all I can say. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

One of my chums who does trimming uses this, it’s pretty aggressive in his own words.

I’ve used the 528, super strong quick use contact adhesive, but you’ll need to use in a ventilated area. Ride like you stole it!!
If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do…

Day old Weetabix. You need a kango drill to get it off a bowl. WARNING.

I need to stick some 3mm rubber mat to plywood (making a platform to groom the dog on)

Thinking of using Evo Stick Impact adhesive - anyone used that?

Thanks all, I’m going to try the Evo Stick 528. It has numbers instead of a name so logically must pro-grade not for the DIYers.

Zen- I said I wanted to glue it down, not fuse it at the molecular level! Laughing 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Gorillas wicked stuff, it also won't harm the underside of plastic, there's the water type and the caulk type.

Caulk type is fantastic but it really does take a while to bond I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

Plywood is quite absorbent - you may get better results if you prime it first. Darren

Be very careful of using the contact adhesive with rubber mat. It makes the rubber deform with the chemicals, and it doesn’t return to shape.
I’ve had good results with spray adhesive but ply needs to be sprayed with glue as well as covering material, and ideally primed beforehand. I just used watered down unibond/PVA

Evo Bostik must be good, all the 70's Punks couldn't have been wrong!!

Though they didn't 'stick' around for long!! (RIP my punk school chum, known as Evo) ...true story.

I used Glover bond for sticking carpet to plastic. Sets very quickly and has held up well so far. Not sure if you'd need to prime the plywood first though.
