Front hub and stub axle confusion
Somewhere along the line my Ninety has been fitted with what I believe is an early Disco 1 front axle, I have come to this conclusion because the drive flange has a little stubby drive shaft attached to the inside of it.
I need to replace the hub and also the stub axle, I think the part numbers are as follows:
Stub axle - FTC57 (available also in BP kit DA3193)
https://www.paddockspares.com/stub-axle-ki...o-ja0.html
Hub - FTC1457 which seems to be VERY expensive £406!
https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/864...er_classic

Can I use the correct stub axle (FTC57) and a different hub?
For example this one below
https://www.paddockspares.com/ftc942-hub-assembly.html

Or is there another way round it all?
Many thanks. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

Rrc. Had short stubs, didn't know d1 did?

Why does hub need changing? Cheers

My research shows the early Disco I had the same hub arrangement.
The inner bearing race looks like it has been spinning inside the hub, a new race (and original) can be pushed in and out of the hub by hand also the stub axle shows sign of wear and damage. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

Bought some 2nd hand ones from a nice bloke on Ebay, two hubs, stub axles and stubby driveshafts for £50 delivered.
All in very good condition so I am happy.
Just for info you can buy the stub axles new but not the hubs.
Thanks for the replies. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group
