110 Van internal cab roll cage
Having spent ages during the lockdown watching Russian dash cam footage on YouTube, I have become more aware of just how vulnerable vehicles can be to rolling over.

Given that the most substantial part of the Defender's cab is the driver, is there a roll cage or roll-over bar available that I could fit inside the cab of my 110 van?

Having searched on-line, I don't really fancy an external one, both for the appearance and the problems of keeping the bodywork clean underneath it.

Thanks as always folks.

plenty of options from stand alone hoop to full cage made to measure.

a single hoop is better than nothing, but ideally it needs diagonal stays back to chassis and a cross piece.

I picked up an internal hoop on here 2nd for £130, safety devices.

also look at north off road and try protection and performance Cheers

Thanks folks. I like the idea of combining it with a cargo barrier as I've already got one of those, so it shouldn't take up that much more room.

Following this with interest, I'm looking for something similar for my 110 HT.

Daisy 90 can I ask who built your internal cage and also where you got the loom extension to relocate the ECU? 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

I have an internal p and p cage hoop with rear stays attached, that could be ground off available if people are interested. Mounts to floor of rear load area, would need chassis plates fitting underneath to be structurally sound. Ie played welded onto chassis to then bolt this too. Same as any practical hopp would have rather than a cosmetic hoop. Open to offers. Cheers

Bolts through the floor and on the chassis so should the job if I’m ever unluckily enough to use it,
The top diagonal mesh is also removable for longer things

It’s where the cage is sandwiched through the floor, so hopefully any impact will be taken on the chassis not just on the thin bodywork

Yes, I get that, I meant make, is it standard supplied? Only seen and fitted them to chassis plates before, usually legs come in closer to floor pan rather than seat box. Cheers

My criteria and reason for fitting it in the first place was “just in case”
I’d had a few close ones whilst in wales and was heading off to the Pyrenees , the truck was never going to be used for comps or knowingly dangerous days out / play days
I wanted to keep as much space inside the vehicle available for storage etc
