I'd just put a porta power across the Aperture and spread it a little, then touch up as Zag recommends.

I never bothered to sort the rear door, it isn't corroding and you know how the dealers are.
Right now I am just grateful I managed to keep the 110, the mrs left me just before xmas and I subsequently found out she was running up scary credit card bills behind my back. I lost pretty much everything apart from my Landrovers. I used the 110 to move house (I am now in a shared place not far from our admin Martin) and put most of my stuff in storage. I'll maybe see if I can get to some shows this year. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

It has been an absolutely time, and she couldn't have timed it any worse, right before Xmas. I'm surviving, just. Emotionally it has seriously taken a toll, and I have lost loads of weight...if I didn't have the Land Rovers to keep me busy I think I would be in an even worse place. :/ 2011 110 USW

Sorry to hear. Many of us have been there. Some of us many times more than others.
Everything happens for a reason and hurdles are there to get over. Learn, become stronger and move on. You still have the coolest 110 on here |

Well that is high praise indeed considering how many 110s are here! Thanks everyone for the comments, they are appreciated, even if at the moment it does look like the light at the end of the tunnel was turned off. 2011 110 USW

Really sorry to hear your news - gutted for you. At least you've still got that lovely wheelie-bin green 110... Definitely the most 'proper' no nonsense Defender on here. Hang in there chap, it will get easier.

Thanks for the support guys.
Please forgive me having been quiet of late but the above reasons are still taking their toll. Looks a lot like she was cheating on me too now...I was feeling better, then saw her in town last week with her new chap...I'm not quite back to square one but it didn't do any good, put it that way. I have been doing a few trips in the 110, was in the Lakes and Scotland recently rescuing my mates IIA FC and my 88". I'd like to do some travelling in mine so am looking for an affordable roof tent or something similar so I can live out of it. Any suggestions very welcome.
