Fitting 240v engine pre heater

I’m considering fitting a 240v engine pre heater to my 300tdi. I just wondered if anyone else had and how / where you fitted it into the system as I’m a little confused with circulation. Any help appreciated

I've been thinking the same thing. Would be good to have a warmed up car during the cold months.
A quick google search pulled this up:

At a guess it just goes inline with the coolant hoses. Shouldn't matter where if it heats up all the coolant.

Actually, scrap that. You wouldn't want it in-line as it would probably restrict coolant flow. So there's a question, where would be best to t-off for the connections to best avoid just heating half the coolant.

fairly easy to fit.we usually fit them into the heater pipe so if you get a split pipe its easy to blank off.

you know a night heater makes better sense bit more work to fit but hot blown air wins every time for me
