Swivel seal vs hub seal
Had an advisory from MOT - "front drive hub seal leaking"

So I looked at the wheel and it seems to me that the swivel seal is actually leaking.

Would the hub seal actually leak oil? As far as I can tell there is just a little bearing grease in there.

The swivels on the other hand seem to be filled with either oil or the one shot grease.

I have a 2009 (MY 2010) USW - questions I have are:

1) Can the hub seal actually cause leakage? or am I looking at replace swivel seal?
2) How can I ascertain if I have grease or oil in the swivels?

Any advice gratefully received

Forgot to say, yours should have one shot grease in for that year.

The hub seals can leak, you usually notice when you have no brakes on one side as the disc gets covered in oil/grease.

Axle oil migrates along from the tube into both the swivel housing and eventually the hub, so you will get a mixture of oil/grease in both eventually. Does no harm really.
