The electricity board 130 puma 2010, again. it wwas in for head gasket and blocked oil cooler
 Click image to enlarge It starts fine now, engine is squeaking clean inside the manifold etc, fresh oil, fresh OEM filters (Mahle& Standadyne) but as the title says .. no power. We can't run it on the raod as the stupid ICE doesn't allow us to, you need a special permit the one minute I had with their driver .. fuel pressure was 1180 bar max turbo 1.4 bar revs don't go past 2800-3000 we disconneted the turbo rod and hand held it in a know good position.. not that, can rule it out Egr was also disconnected I get occasionally an injector learning error but I think I can translate this into pilot learning. Which is a sod to do if you can't really run here and i can hardly get the Cº past 75, takes about an hour of sitting in diesel fumes. the images will hopefully show the oil cooler as it was Fixing Land Rovers in rural Guanacaste |

it runs a bit better now after trying to do the Pilot learning about 47 times.
But it never completes the learning procedure. Aways abort with status 17 and error E7 Anyone know what this means? Fixing Land Rovers in rural Guanacaste |

Using a quality Valve? had problems like this on aftermarket. Shouldn’t be hard to get it up to temp, would make me suspect of a false sensor reading.

Ir is a good sensor and i have checked it with our temperature pistol. The head temperature is slightly higher.

thanks to everybody, it is the VCV valve. Now waiting for the ICE (state company) to cough up another second hand one. Fixing Land Rovers in rural Guanacaste

You are right but frankly we want them to pay for the head job and then they can come back for a new one.

Don’t worry I know the feeling well done a fair few utility buses over here and the battle with the bean counters never ends, not to mention actually trying to extract the money from them
