Tracker for dogs
As heading , has anybody any experience of one they could recommend ?
I would like one for my Plummer terrier just in case he can not find me after chasing deer etc . All i need one for is to locate him not speed , how high he can jump , or anything else .
I live in the country so 4g etc is patchy .
Yes he is trained and always comes when called , but there is always a first time

Garmin do a fair range of dog tracking devices. The people I went shooting with in Norway used Garmin kit on the setters and it worked brilliantly. The dogs worked 200m+ away out of sight and the hand held unit received an alert if the dog stood still for a short period (indicating it was on point with grouse).

Quite expensive though, and the handheld isn’t small. A tracking device linked to an app would be good.

Sorry I should add that the handheld shows you exactly where the dog is and navigates you to him / her.

I have a Marco Polo tracker for my drone.
It is a pet tracker; works for upto 2 miles & about 20 days battery life.
Basically you chase it down the beam using a hand held receiver
Works a treat & cheaper if you get someone to source in the USA May your life be like toilet paper ; long & useful.

Look up Traktiv or somthing very similar ?
Clips on to the collar, works off a free app that shows your and the dogs location on a O\s map,
We had two on my pointers and never failed us, even after a full year of swimming in the sea which they don't reccomend by the way,
Get mt vote for sure, and there under £50 each to buy

Well done
