Yes, you can fit rears to the front doors to remove the locks. Darren

My front ones wer'nt working when i got it so rather than fixing as they closed and opened fine i decided to have dead locks fitted to all 3 rear inc, so now when they check it out for nicking they will see they have 2 locks on each door to contend with (although only one works really Whistle )

Agreed, that's my concern too.

And if its as easy as going through the back door, then really no point in changing them in the first place....??? Regards

If they can’t get in through the doors they will just take the windscreen out.

And the alarm, immoblisor, Steering lock etc I suppose we just leave the door open and not bother trying to add Deterrents the more the better i even chain and padlock all machinery in the back along with a rear window grill all that and yes a monthly payment for the tracker installed, as i'd like to keep it as long as possible I'd like to spend money on a nice winch and roof rack etc but alarms immoblisors ie security comes first having it running right comes 2nd adding accssesories when i can afford it and only if they are needed But thats the way i want to do my Defender how others do it thats up to them

The plastic side door handles are a known weakness. The anti burst lock, on the inside of the door is not... 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

The style on the rear door of a defender (more accurately I should have said lift handle door latch/lock) Thumbs Up

Whilst the rear door is far from thief proof it is less easy to overcome that the plastic side handles. Hence delocking the side doors. 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
