I am mid conversion to the whole car LED.

I have done side lights and indicators without fault.

I have changed reversing light and rear fog. These dont work (maybe its a polarity thing, easy to change)

But now im trying to do the headlights, but now with one headlight removed, I test the circuit by turning it on and the other untouched light does not work either. So maybe the reversing and fog are correct polarity but there is something else going wrong.

any suggestions please.

I have checked fuses... all ok.

Ive checked the relay in the cab and I get 12v across the two middle pins when the lighting stalk is pushed to on, and 0.5v across the outer two prongs.

Im now stuck... I just wanted to plug and play! Sad

Thanks
Ross

Have you reinstated filament bulbs in the fog and reverse, and tried refitting the filament headlamp? Do they work again?  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

OK first off sort out the rear fo and reverse light, then go back to the headlights. Grab a multimeter and test that there is 12v going to the reverse and rear fog light connectors. If there isn't then track back to find the cause; remember the Ign has to be on for these lights to work. If there is 12v to the units then swap the wiring of your LED units around and see if that works, if so job done and move on to the headlights.

Headlights: are you installing LED bulbs or entire LED light units (like JW Speakers etal)? I believe some of the LED headlight units are quite sensitive to voltage so you might have to change both headlights first before testing. Might be wrong there. Regardless check that 12v is getting to the connectors; remember to switch the Ign on. With sign off you will only get side/parking lights not dipped beam.

If you do not have a multimeter use your original light bulb and holder to test the circuit, you may need a few lengths of wire to push or hold on to the connectors. It lights up and your good.

Also, remember to check your earth points are good (I actually have this to do on my 110 soon).

So... I appear to have some corrosion happening inside the bulkhead fuse box, Some of the fuses I pulled were green/blue due to the copper oxidising.

So... changed the fuses for new ones and that seams to have done the trick.

Although I have also identified tonight, that the reason my radio doesn't work is because the unit appears to have blown up... I am getting 12v all the way to to unit, and the fuse in the head itself is testing good for continuity so I guess its time to browse the interwebs for a new shinny thing.

Thanks for all the helps.
