Finally finished my centre console
A few days ago I moved the AC switches from the silly location by the drivers knee to my centre console. I replaced the switch panel with a spare vent for looks (it is non-functionining). Ergonomics and functionality very much improved.

Great idea!
The AC controls are a close match for the headlight adjuster. They look as if they were meant to be together. Neat. Thumbs Up

The Mud console is very versatile for fitting almost anything.

Out of interest what is the blank where the right hand drive switches would be on the other side filled with? 2013 Discovery 4 HSE Lux | 2001 Defender 90 TD5 | 2007 Prodrive RB320

The LHD unut is a mirror of the RHD AC unit. As such there is nothing is on the far right of the AC plenum on my unit. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

What 4RF means is that there isn't a hole that's fitted with a blank; it's just a smooth finish like the rest of the unit. If you look at his first picture, it's the area to the right of the right hand vent. Darren

Yes, that's right. It's probably because the space where the switches are is also the space where the plenum connects to the heater fan on the other handed version. Darren

It is a left hand drive so the controls were originally on the far left. He installed an extra vent on the place were the controls were. The vent is not working only for the finishing.

Good idea, looks good
