Laptop / daypack recommendations
After upgrading to a larger laptop I’m looking for recommendations on a new laptop bag / rucksack/ day pack

Must take a 17” laptop, have plenty of pockets for all the other stuff I seem to carry with me , preferably leather/ waxed cotton and have some structure to is as opposed to being a floppy canvas bag but would consider more military style

What’s anyone using? Does anyone have any recommendations ?

Cheers

Brad

I use a Mil tec brand One O' these
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mil-Tec-Patrol-...m570.l1313

45L is too much and 28L is too small but this one is just right.

I used to use it as a Day pack. On a typical day it would carry:

My laptop & charger (16 inch?) and charger.
    1L water bottle.
    Two small bottles of luca
    Full set of thermals
    Norgie
    Work boots
    Spare Jeans & tee shirt.
    Full trauma Pack
    1 inch of paperwork
    Various small tools
one or two bricks smuggled in as a prank
Still room to spare if i utilized the Molle

In addition to helmet, tools and the like dangling through the molle hoops.

For £30 odd quid it isn't super gucci like Warrior or Camelback, but it got the job done. But it doesn't break the bank, and i certainly didn't mind if it got ruined but it just tanks on.

Its now replaced with a designer canvass satchel that only fits half the stuff, but encourages me to carry a lot less.

This one site in the back of my defender, i had intentions on using it as a SHTF bag with some basic survival gear but frankly can't be arsed to pay out £500+ for all the tools i already own. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

Cheers osloblue, not seen the warrior stuff and not thought of camelback I’ll look into them a bit more. I’d been looking at the MOLLE stuff from military 1st as I though if I had some webbing in the 110 I’d be able to transfer stuff from defender to backpack as needed

No worries mate, if you do have webbing lying about how old is it? The MOD started phasing out PLCE in 2005/6 with the introduction of the Osprey Black bag system which utilises molle. These days i think PLCE is relegated to training/gate guard duties in the same way as ECBA is.

These days all "battlebelt" setups are now molle compatible, as is my current setup. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

Sorry I proably used webbing as a description for the MOLLE mounting.

I’ve seen this

eBay Item No. 302786705780

I like the way it attaches to the side so I was looking to get something custom made with less pockets and more Molle webbing on so I can attach as required

@mk1collector they look a decent pack, just a bit to trendy for me

I've got one of the Mil Tec rucksacks and for the money, they're difficult to fault. I'm also a big fan of Maxpedition, though - more choices than you can shake a stick at. Darren

In work I use a HP branded laptop bag. Nice and comfy and well made, plenty of pockets.
Normally have laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad) Keyboard, mouse and cables. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I've been using one of these for the last circa 5 years (albeit the earlier version).
I'm not suggesting it's the be all and end all but certainly worth considering.
