adrian flux laid up insurance
bit of a bizarre one today, spoke to flux about putting the defender on laid up cover over the winter [going to garage it over the winter] so got them to give me a quote today just to see how much the premium would go down,it turns out they want another £200 for less cover Shocked

I've had the opposite with one of the "direct" insurance companies. Phoned up to significantly increase the estimated mileage on a family members car and the price went down. I questioned whether they had also changed excess etc but was assured that it was exactly the same policy cover. The call handler said it wasn't that unusual as some prices go up and down almost by the minute.

Flux would not touch them with a barge pole, They get there exorbitant prices and profits with young drivers with performance cars and in the past used to be with Defenders with mods but since LR stopped making them and are so difficult to replace so like many other insurance companies they just do not want to know. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

That's interesting, I've just renewed my laid-up cover with them and they charged £120 for an agreed value of £8k on a rebuilt 1989 90. Having never claimed I don't know how tricky they can be but been with them for 6 years and cant complain so far. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

Don't forget about us Smile we do laid up cover which is never more than full cover - it's a proportion of the full risk price, we also don't charge for agreed value - we just require a series of photos.

If you'd like us to take a look you can call in on 01635 874646 Smile the team in Thatcham will be happy to help.

Thanks! Have a great day!

I noticed this with my insurer, apparently more mileage means more and regular experience although i guess would up the chances of being in an accident that's not your fault I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/
