[Wanted] Genuine request to hire a defender for a month

As a ex defender owner, I know how precious (and valuable/steal able) they are, so I'm not expecting a queue to form for this, however I would genuinely like to hire a puma defender, 90 or 110, for a month, and am willing to pay good money, and insure it fully comp the whole time its in my care.

The newer the better, and somewhere near the south west of England would be great too.

I'm not expecting to pay pennies for this, it will be used mainly for promo and press trips (you may see a pic of it in the papers very soon) I will compensate handsomely of course,

The only company that seem to offer reasonable hire of defenders in the south west only have a garish red modified soft top 90 that just doesn't quite fit with the image Im going for.

Thanks for the SHB link, didnt find them on my travels, ill give them a call now

I need a country or stationwagon, need 4 adult seats, so the hard top/pick ups are out unfortunately, and I would need to remove all their stickers, but one can only ask

Whilst I like the idea of showing it to the press and it is a spare car. I'm not sure I could be persuaded to let anyone drive it away

We have just opened a luxurious woodland treehouse on the Devon Coast and for the next month have the guardian, times, independent, telegraph etc all coming to do a feature on it, during their stay we are sending them out for a michelin starred meal, trip in a hot air balloon, yoga and massage in the woods etc, and they need a car to get to the restaurant etc, rather than give them a boring old enterprise Merc, I want to give them something to match the style and ethos of the retreat, something to wow, something to write about etc.

Loaning my Defender to a fellow enthusiast who understands the quirks of Defender is one thing, but loaning it to a bunch of journalists

rules me out I'm afraid.

I think SHB would be the way forward or a local classic hire car company (that future customers could use) would be the best way forward. It does sound a great idea.

I would like to see these treehouses, sounds amazing! Good luck with it all.

SHB is the way ahead, they have 110 Utility in stock all the time or CSW. We have them hired in at work regularly! 2007 2.4 90 fettled & remapped.
