10 spline axles to 24 spline
Have searched and found loads of information but not clear well not for me

My defender 10 spline axles I want to rebuild but second option is to up grade all components to 24 spline

So will new 24 spline components fit into 10 spline casings Question

Many thanks 2016 Discovery 4

Understand

I will be be using a new diffs and Ashcroft shafts and all new seals etc etc

So will the 10 spline casing taken all these?

Don’t want to get all the bits and bobs and then find out they will not fit, my fear would be the shafts in case there is a different bushing or some thing inside the old casings

Casing will fit OK (unless you've got a really old 6 bolt casing (6 bolt where the stub axle bolts on, newer ones are 7 bolt)

If you do buy a later complete axle, check the radius arm brackets as they're slightly wider on >300Tdi era axles (or get the later arms as well and benefit from the slightly wider bushes, supposed to aid handling)
