Afternoon everyone , I wanting some 30mm wheel spacers , cos my 265 tyres are catching on full lock with the standard alloys , any one use the Brit part cheapies ? My local has some for 250 quid , sod that , might as well buy new wheels at that cost , anyways , your thoughts if any , bare in mind , mine only comes out to go round a pit or to be mot’d

Why don’t you adjust the turning Cycle? Is even cheaper!

But seriously i wouldn’t use cheap parts on my axle. If it was my choice non Or proper ones. a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover

Knowing Britpart they'll probably be square instead of round. Rolling with laughter Avoid imo. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

The thought of using a Britpart wheel spacer sends shivers down my spine.

The only way that that they can be sold cheaply is if they are made cheaply, and that either means cheaper raw materials, cheaper tooling, cheaper staff, or cheaper quality assurance, or any combination of the above. Would you want your life to depend on a part made in that way?

Totally agree with Blackwolf to the extent that I use -10 offset wheels rather than use spacers - even quality ones!

Years ago I used an adapter to fit the car spare to the caravan after a puncture - watching the wheel complete with adapter overtake the car put me off spacers for life Neutral

as above adjust your lock stops.

I would think with 30mm spacers and 265 tyres you'd also need wider wheel arch spats?

Cor , awesome reply’s , thank you . And thank you dorsetsmith for looking up the lock stops , I do like the steering I have when using steels , so , once I get it rebuilt , i’ll treat it to some new steels on zero off set , to give it the wide look I like , in the mean time , i’ll Set my lock stops cos that’s a doddle . Thanks everyone Thumbs Up

That's quite a common combination and still fits under standard spats. Does spray muck up the sides, though. Darren

In fact if you run 285/75 KM2 muds on Boosts with 30mm spacers they still -just!- fit under the arches, although you'd better like dirt all over the vehicle (inside, too, if you open the windows). For a while I ran this combination, then I saw the light. Rolling with laughter

265/75x16 was a factory fit option on Defenders for may years and they never needed spacers, just set up the steering-stops correctly (as already suggested several times on here!) and all will be fine. ONE LIFE, GET IT!
