Swap DCPU bits for 110 UW rear?
Just an idle thought at the moment. I have a 2001 Special Vehicles 110 DCPU. I’m thinking about sticking on a 110 Utility roof, sides and rear door. There seems to be much love for DCPUs. Would anyone be interested in talking about swapping parts? I’m not completely sold on the idea yet but it would be interesting to know if there’s some appetite for doing so.

Clearly the bulkhead would be a problem for the 110 Utility owner as I would end up cutting mine out in due course, so you’d need to live without the bulkhead behind the second row of seats. Few dents and knock on the tailgate of mine as per the pic. Everything else ok (although two antenna mounts in the roof).

Just checking potential or the ‘art of the possible‘ as some might say.

Cheers.

If a DCPU owner were to live without the bulkhead behind the rear seats, the inside would be open to the outside Confused Darren

And that’s absolutely ideal for this weather!

Perhaps I should have been clearer... ‘live without it’ because you’d need to make your own arrangements for one. I thought it was fairly obvious 😉

If you did find someone who was doing the opposite conversion and who was prepared to swap parts, why not change the rear tubs over as well?

I suppose because a roof swap could be done on a drive in a couple of hours one weekend; the tub trebles or quadruples the work.

Not sure I agree with your estimate, once everything above the waistline is off, the tub isn't difficult to remove.

I haven't done one before, but my mental list includes:

Wiring for lights
Wheelarch spats (assuming that at least one vehicle has colour coded ones)
Chassis fixings
Rear x-member fixings
Fuel filler

What have I missed if anything?
