CSW door - Series style or not?
Just wanted to canvas opinions from anyone who has recently replaced their doors. All 4 of the doors on my 1992 CSW are on their way out and looking at replacement options.

I was looking at galv steel replacements from SP-4x4 but then spotted the series style replacements
[https://www.sp-4x4.com/DEFENDER_SERIES_DOOR_CONVERSION_p/defconv1.htm]

Realise they are not galvanised but at half the price they look tempting.

I've never had a series land rover (1st was a B reg 90 HT!) so just wondered how folks got along with the sliding windows etc.

Thanks in advance! Hopefully it will help to clarify my thoughts and make a dam decision!

I have done this on my 85 V8 soft top, mainly because I like to take the door tops off in the Summer.. Bought my doors and tops from Paintman Panels, excellent quality.

I used sp4x4 to replace my tired front doors on my 300tdi 90. I bought the conversion kit and some other bits from them including the galvanized strips that sits between the bottom and door tops. I did need to source other bits but it was an easy job.
I love the new doors simplicity. No door cards hiding water leaks and more leg room. Slidy windows are great. . These doors are water tight, the locks work well. I think they suit the Landrover.
For the other bits I looked to 'John Richards surplus', there are on the net and know there Landrovers.
Have a look on my gallery for pictures.
Kind regards,
Simon Thumbs Up
