pop-top compatible roll cages
Following Henry's recent rollover we may discuss what roll cage solutions there are for pop-top Defenders.

I'll start with a German rally-experienced company with good reputation, building roll-cages for pop-tops, too: https://re-suspension.de

The front roll cage shown in the videos includes a B-post reinforcement.

edit: at the time of filming, two years ago, the roll cage + RAI + custom-made awning brackets was 4,000€ including fitting.

That’s a very neat solution, I think the vehicle would still be toast off rolled but would give the occupants more protection. Think Henry was helped having the pop top due to it stiffening the roof up.
If it were standard it could have caused a lot more damage.

This is how the re-suspension cage fits an x-V-x pop top:

X-Vison-X also has a roll cage that can be fitted with a pop top .... Thumbs Up

and they also have awning brackets to mount with a pop top as well - I have these on my 110 and they are really robust.

I asked x-V-x about it:
- it's a modified Safety Devices roll cage: requires cutting holes in the front wings and may clash with some RAIs
- there's a custom-made internal strut:
