TD5 90 Brake Pipes
How easy is it to change the full front brake pipes on a TD5 90 from the top of the flexi back to the master cylinder?

Failed MOT due to rust Sad

Thanks

Buy a brake pipe set and make your own. It is some work but not difficult. Roel

As above. Its a daunting task but it is doable, but a decent flaring kit (mines Draper) and a blow torch then take your time!

Or try someone like Pirtek or a hydrualic hose company see if they will make you up a full set of braided hoses!

Defenders are not that bad. I did the rear ones from my D3. Most clambs you cannot touch with your hands.

You can reuse the end unions again.
Push the pistons from the brake calipers is as far as possible. When finished you can pump the brake pedal a few times and you have most air in the calipers already. Makes bleeding a lot easier.
Use a block off wood or something like that to depress your brake pedal a little to prevent the brake fluid to keep on leaking. Roel
