Diff and Transfer case oils
Going to change oils in Diffs and transfer case, Haynes book suggests:

Diffs: SAE80/SAE90EP to API GL4 / MIL-L-2105 or better
T/C: 75w90 to GL4 spec. Lots of places appear to do GL5 oils and I think the RAVE manual suggested GL5 spec.

Is GL5 spec of for both Diffs and T/C?

Spotted on Opie oils
Gulf Gear EP heavy duty G/Box oil 80w/90 for Diffs.
Fuchs Titan 75w90 for T/C 1999 Defender TD5 110

Hello excossack

Castrol 75W-90... Thumbs Up

March 2017 Price

But in the end I went for Motul Gear 300 75W-90 for an all Transmission Oils change (10 Lts required)
I did this on the recommendations of Opie Oils, as the Motul looks to be a slightly higher spec' than the Castrol,
and qualifies as a Racing Oil.

March 2017 Price

So for a Puma (Getrag Gearbox MT82) / TD5 (R380 Gearbox)
Transmission ...
75W 90 / 3 x 1L

Transfer Box (LT230Q / Puma + TD5) + Front & Rear Differentials
75W 90 / 7 x 1L
