A hose hook really does work - slide under the hose & it breaks the " stiction" of the hose on the pipe.

Hose hook? Never heard of it. But never too old to learn. Thumbs Up

Do you mean this?

Completely agree, they were the best tools purchased from the snap on van! they do different lengths and angles fantastic simple idea that can save a lot of time!

That certainly looks similar to mine. It's a snapon one I was gifted by the snapon man after mentioning the issue I'd been having.

Your snap on man gave something away Shocked our last one was so tight he didn't even want to give the promotional gifts away with what you bought! Ray

I must admit I got quite a lot from the snap on man but I did spend a hell of a lot of money with him!

Nice one, Sealey do a pair for £10 so I'll get a pair.

Also I'll also steal the girlfriend's hairdryer for heat... I'm sure she wont mind! Wink Chris

A hairdryer might work but hot water with a single drop of washing up liquid works for me every time. Just dip the end of the hose in the very hot water - softens and lubricates in one go.

I think he was a firm believer in "speculate to accumulate" - he nearly always had a tool to do other difficult jobs & they were all never cheap.

So new Terrafirma blue silicon hoses are on!

I must say having the right tools for the job makes a massive difference! The Sealy hose removers made light work for removing the old rubber ones.

Didn't have time to take it out for a drive, but F revved the engine up and down while my head was in the engine bay, it does sound happier and with more.... ooommmffff!

All done and dusted... here's hoping we see an improvement!
