Thanks!
The steering wheel is as it came, the earlier version doesn't wear very well.
I'll be keeping this steering wheel as is, I don't mind them, it'll make driving the V8 feel even more sporty Very Happy

I do like that one, especially as in the first picture. Thumbs Up

I don't go for modern Defenders and really like the good old 300Tdi's of that era.

(Pleeeeease don't pimp it! Shocked)

I've only recently cottoned on to the fact that mine is a County version.

It's the word County on the side decals that tipped me off! Rolling Eyes
I thought they all had a sunroof and Alpine lights! Thud

I think yours and mine are "Arles Blue" (called Windjammer Blue on a Discovery).

What is your view on the Boost Alloys?

Pimp it? Moi? Define pimp? Even the v8 is anti-pimp... Hence branded the scumbag.

As much as the first pic looks very nice, in reality the skinny knobblies are just dangerous on wet twisty roads, even at speeds that slow others.
I know it's brought it up to modern steels, they're still steels.

I have a set of freestyles, (well, 4) but as mine isn't the county, I decided stick with the wolfs.

The county is nice and does benefit from alpine lights and a full headlining. Boosts on yours, Slidey? Looks fine to me.
It is Arles, Ginjez called it Windjammer, but I'd not heard of it before.

So, as much as it needs to stay original, it is my daily and needs to be practical.
Plans are:
Headlining nets. Done
Soundproofing. 75% done already.
Stereo.. I have a stomach-rattling system, but no head unit yet!
Rear drawer... For when we go shooting.
Cubby box.
Hands free kit.
Tint rear windows, to keep nosey peepers out.

And that's it!

So exterior will stay as is, totally.

A quick google shows Windjammer and Arles to have same code lrc424. Never knew that - I just remember the discoveries from 1990 era being windjammer.

Looking very tidy Greeni Thumbs Up the list of upgrades sound good, is the midbox gone yet? That does make a difference on the 300tdi (not that they are in anyway sporty). 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

I'm not going to be tempted to be honest, Mash.
Being mates with a few guys who sell tdi performance parts, they've already offered me their wares, but I can't see much point in making something very slow, just slow. Laughing
It's very stress free driving, especially as you're at the front of the line Whistle
Tdi's for the win! (Except anything to do with speed).

Less is more.

The Wolfs will be coming back off, the original steelies going on with Continental tyres (thanks Ginjez for collecting and an RV to meet me with them Bow down )

So this is the after before, before photo.

If any series owner wants a fresh set XZL or ZXL (whatever they're called) tyres, let me know.

Mods so far...
Steel wheels back on, with Conti tyres on

Rear headliner, full soundproofing

Gun drawer

Big Focal sound system

Tinted rear glass.

I don't think this will be a keeper though. The v8 ticks all my Land Rover needs and I'm about done with spannering, so if anybody asks if it's for sale, I'll smile politely and hold out my palm.
I need a big Audi from the RS family again.
