@Blackwolf. No I don’t know for sure. I too have never seen a non indicator vehicle in the flesh. You may be correct.

I'd be inclined to agree that they all had the holes, the 'weathering' around the capping on yours is a mystery though.

I saw that restoration thread and rather unexpected sale on the SII Club forum too, and thought you would buy it, after the pm!


There is no need to speculate, they all had the extra hole in the rear corner capping when built.

A bit! But it would have been for one reason or another, I probably simply needed the cash at the time!
I've been fortunate to have owned some lovely cars over the years and wouldn't have been able to do that without a one in one out policy!
If I'm totally honest I think I may prefer a Series 2 to a 1 Embarassed

Regret selling my 1960 S2 SWB rag top Big Cry

Gutted that according to DVLA it's been on SORN now for over 5 years after MoT ran out - hopefully just taking a long time to get restored & not just rusting away quietly...

My Dad has a 1959 a lot like this. 88" 2 1/4 petrol, matching numbers. Same colour as yours I think, also with a full tilt and an overdrive too. I love it!!
