It does say compatible with windows 10.

I really liked my Windows phone, but no one did apps for them. I think even Microsoft have given up on them now. Apple or Android is the only way to go really. |

As my day job is writing apps, the bulk of the market is still iOS (around 60% for most apps), second Android and Windows is such a small user base it's not worth the outlay. The only Windows mobile app we've done was one which Microsoft funded the development for. Microsoft paid us to deliver the initial app version but with no ongoing payments and such a small user take up it really wasn't worth the cost of maintaining it.
I suspect that many of the "big name" apps on Windows are only there because Microsoft funded the dev cost. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

I’m at a loss to know what the actual value of this device is as you can have a simple battery monitor plug into the vehicle for peanuts,, that gives a continual read out of live data rather than have an app on a phone that you cant use when driving ....

Well looking for an upside - one of the best things I can say about my Windows phone is that is has saved me a fortunate on not buying apps that it was not compatible with...
Not sure my phone is Windows 10 - isn't that just pc os?
I'd have hoped I could check the reading remotely from the house and not have to trek out to the vehicle, turn ignition on, etc. Does it have a live tile facility? |

I think it's more intended for monitoring a static vehicle that may not get used for some time. Presently, my 90 only gets used at weekends and being able to easily check the battery state does have an appeal. Battery monitoring ..
This is an interesting concept as I leave my 110 parked up unused for 3 weeks at a time while I’m away at work, then run it for 3 weeks while at home - and it aways starts first turn of the key when I come to pick it up ... I have several extra electrical things on the vehicle but never have a problem. So my question is - Is there a real problem with battery drain and non-starting or is it a perceived problem that is managed with out being a real issue? 3 weeks without things like GSM tracker is not a problem for car. Battery monitoring thing needs some power for it self, to live and send data over radio (Bluetooth). And just monitoring is nothing without the possibility of connecting a charger. For me, when car is not in use, it is simple to connect the car to a charger and let it charging for few days or week. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo
