Worst MPG
Well I was quite shocked this morning when I toped up the 110 Utility.
On a 509 mile round trip from J8,M25 Surrey to a couple of miles from Boscastle, back up to Park Royal and then home it used 157ltrs of fuel at a cost of £220.27, I think that works out at about 14.54 mpg. Big Cry

Was towing my 16' Ivor Williams tilt bed with a Hotchkiss M201 (Willys Jeep) down, and on the way back only had a Suzuki 400 Enduro bike on board.

I was flat on the floor 95% of the time but thought I would get better than that, what do you think Question

The funny thing is that I said to Deans Dad I would do it for the fuel, which he thought £200.00 would more than cover it with more than enough left for breakfast and lunch. Rolling with laughter

Andy.

My last car was a shogun and when towing my twin axle 1850kg caravan with the car carrying me and the missus, three dogs, zodiac 3.3m and 20hp 2 stroke outboard, fuel tanks, collapsible trailer in roof box for zodiac, laptops ,cameras etc I was getting about 15-17mpg. Then when I got the Landy the same load would get about 20-23mpg. But the fuel usage depended on the weather, if it was windy the fuel usage rose but if I tucked in behind an artic on the motorway the fuel usage went down. I tended to stick about 65mph on the motorway and 55mph on A roads.

Bout 22 mpg for some time now, doesn't seem to be any different if I use Shell or BP premium grades or other makes of standard grade, with or without Millers additives....

I'm averaging 26-29mpg (Esso) just now. Will check again tomorrow when I fill up but did 30miles today towing my caravan from the storage site to my home, so it probably won't be that good Sad
