United Kingdom 2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Bonatti Grey
New Defender with old one

My new Puma 2.2 bought in December. Beside it is my Td5 90 which was sold 2 days later

I bought the Td5 in 2006 for £12K just sold for £8K = Approx £400 / year vehicle costs
The only reason I sold it was that the Puma 2.2 was an offer too good to miss.
Just bought the Puma 2.2 2014 for £18K Cat D perfect runner The cat D was apparantly for body damage. Perfectly ok now.

Question How do I get the Cat D lifted?

Big thanks to Martin for making it so easy to post pictures. Very Happy

I’m pretty sure you can’t get them lifted anymore?

I know once you could have an inspection done at cost, (not sure if this is an option now?)
But you still had an “inspected” mark against it,
Which still showed it had previous history.

It’s been a while since I’ve looked into this, so things may have changed?
But the way DVLA are playing things now, I wouldn’t get your hopes up! Rolling Eyes 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

Not too bothered really. I dont plan to resell any time in the near future as its a stunning motor and a joy to drive. It just puts my insurance up. I have always used NFU who would give me a good price but they required an engineers report. Not quite sure where I would get one done. Is this now all done by VOSA?

It seems you can get a cat d lifted. You have to go through Autolign who have 2 test stations. It costs approx £250 to £300. They are the only company recognised by HPI who will clear any tags on your motor.
