sliding scale of pain....
Twenty odd years ago whilst on honeymoon in Kenya I had a gangrenous appendicitis - that bloody hurt.

Two nights ago I had suspected gall bladder stones - that was worse.

Anyone had either of the above plus kidney stones, and if so where do Kidney stones come on the above scale!!!! Rolling with laughter

Mother had kidney stones and apparently it was less painful giving birth. Obviously that is meaningless to men but I suspect it was probably fairly acute. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

I have seen fully men in tears with Kidney stones and when training we were taught it was the male eqivalent of child birth. Now stones come in many shapes and sizes

Kidney stones or kidney gravel is one of the worst pains the human body can experience, I know from having the latter, all I can say is thank god for pethidine. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I've had appendicitis, gall stones and kidney stones. Rolling Eyes

Kidney stones and gall about the same. Both well above appendix in pain. Stent not fun.

As for Drs poking and proding, I've had a bone marrow aspiration, which easily beats the lumbar puncture. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...
