Concrete Floor painting

Have about 40m2 of interior concrete floor that has been previously painted, at least 2 different colours. In places the paint has been worn away to the concrete.

Wish to tidy it up, but have various questions.

Will floor paint take up/smooth out the different thicknesses of the existing paint?

Can I just get away with an etch/acid cleaner or will I need to scrape off the existing floor paint?

Any recommended floor paint?

Floor is light pedestrian use and occasional manual pallet truck. No motorised vehicles will be driven over floor.

Can't advise on preparation but on a new garage floor I used two pack epoxy floor paint from Regal Paints.

Previous floor paints I have used have not lasted well, especially where vehicles stand. The two pack was much more expensive but will hopefully last longer.

I'm sure if you call Regal paints they will advise you on preparation.

I had a similar garage floor last year. I went over it with a belt sander to remove any loose paint, gave it a wash and then acid etched it. Similarly to the above I used a 2 part epoxy, so I sealed it first and then 2 coats of epoxy.
