Our groups little adventure.
This had been booked for at least 2 months before and all of us was really looking forward to it. Our adventure started on the Wednesday 15th November, all of us met at our usual place and then made our way up the M5, here we are stopped at Michaels Wood services for a midway break................................

After the break we carried on to our digs for the next 2 nights Very Happy here we are the next morning at our digs near Oswestry waiting for the 6th vehicle to join us..........................................

Once the extra vehicle joined us, we all headed out for some lanes Very Happy this the first one, great view, but the weather this morning was drizzly and rainy.................................

Then after about a couple hours of lanes we stopped for a break to look at the views .......................................

Yes the front disco was the 6th vehicle Wink ....................................

We had booked Tom of 4X4Adventures to take us around the lanes in North Wales and lower near Shrewsbury, these are some of the pics from the first day of lanes ....................................................

Then we stopped for a lunch break at this place ? .......................

Then we moved on to do some more ............................

Yes i was the gate man for the 2 days Smile .....................................................................

Stopped again after another 2 hours .....................................

As the light was fading we did a few more ...................................

Then we did another 3 lanes in the dark Shocked this was new to us as we have never done any lanes in the dark, but all was ok and totally different, but good and that was the end of day 1 Very Happy

Day 2 started of with a medium frost to deal with and then left for some more lanes Very Happy ................................

Then we stopped for a lunch break Smile ....................................................

Then a few more lanes ..................................

Then some more in the dark again and the 2nd pic was the last lane of the day and we said our good bye's to Tom............

Then we made our way to our digs for the night near Shrewsbury and this last pic was us leaving to come home back to Devon................................................

We all decided that having Tom to take us around the lanes was so relaxing and not having to worry about anything, i think we did around 12 lanes on the first day with about 10 lanes on the second day, well worth the money and Tom is a really nice guy to get on with Bow down

We all decided that we had an awesome time and will be doing it again sometime next year with all different lanes Mr. Green 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Good write-up and many awesome lanes. Never had a tour guide before, but I can see the attraction.

The carwash was running well when you went through. If you actually went through... Rolling Eyes jury is out... Wink

Great pics, just more motivation to get my 110 out of the garage and into the countryside.

Although I always enjoyed the prep for green land weekends with trips to the council to check the definitive map etc.

Plus as I often organised I got to choose the pub for the stay over Thumbs Up Fixing Land Rovers for over 25 years..........and making excuses to the wife for almost as long Smile

We did the exact same about 3 weeks ago, 3 nights in a cottage in the Brecon beacons. Because we were there for 3 nights it allowed us to explore a bit more into the south of wales and do some lanes we haven't done before.
