None LR - Universal code Readers
I have a 2012 Vauxhall Insignia which is showing intermittent engine management lights. I am thinking about a code reader to see if I can find out what is going on.

I see loads on the E of Bay starting from less than £20.

Does anyone have any experience of any or can recommend one. Bluetooth, laptop ??

Not sure what to look for or what spec / features I should have. Ideally I would like to use it on various cars so something as universal as possible would be good.

United Kingdom 2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Stornoway Grey
I’ve got a cheap WiFi wireless one from eBay which I originally got for data acquisition for my race car video data overlays, but it works so well I’ve used it on all types of car for friends and family. I use an app on my phone called DashCmd (Dash Command) and it reads faults etc just fine. My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

I've used this one on both the Defender and the X-Trail, simple to use, cheap and read and cleared generic fault codes.

Used on Defender much more often than X-Trail (same age and mileage)! Whistle

Sounds good - what make it yours?

I like the idea that you have used it on a variety of vehicles - I definately need it for the Insignia and a mates Saab.
