New front doors
I'm putting together a budget for my respray next year and I was wondering if I could get any recommendations for complete new front doors?

Am I right in thinking I can take all the bits off my current door and bolt hem up to these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-DEFE...SwrklU3MTs 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW

For an extra 100 quid a door you could get galv ones from www.sp-4x4.com and not have to worry about them again. Just a thought! I'm having that debate with myself at the moment.....

Have a look at SP 4x4 for all your doors. I have replaced my front doors with one of their series door conversion kits. Cheaper than one piece doors, sliding windows and simple locks etc. Also fitted the galv. piece between the top and bottom doors, so the waist line extends along the side of the vehicle from the front doors to the back of the 90. Really pleased with the end result.

Been looking at SP doors, you seem to be able to get two part bottom doors for middle row of 110 but not tops? Or can I just not find them? James

There are two types of door cards the army use, one is a solid one piece and the other is a two piece, the only difference is the fact one has the removable cover over the latch and the other is built in.

This is the inside of the door when fitted. On this side you can see the rubber seal that sits between the upper and lower doors. This shot also shows the simplicity of the doors. Simple locks etc, easy to maintain with no window mechanisms that can get gummed up or rusted.

Picture seems to have gone walk about. If you go into my gallery you will see the doors from the outside and inside.
The galv. strip that sits between the upper and lower doors has been painted the same colour as the rest of the 90.
Door cards can be bought from SP and look similar to the rear door (safari) one fitted in the photo. I think Greeni mentioned that MUD might be bringing out front door cards. I keep checking their site but nothing is shown at the moment. I like the look of the military ones that Mash has shown but I think they are rare to get hold of and may be expensive.
I went for these SP doors because they would be easy to maintain and if I needed to replace the upper or lower parts they were readily available and reasonably priced. I also think they look better too!.

Kit, no problems. I got the idea from other members on this site. Greeni and Mash are fonts of knowledge with regard to what I was hoping to achieve. I am chuffed with my doors. They work, are water tight in heavy rain and easy to maintain.
If you want any other info then don't hesitate to PM me. Kind regards, Simon.
