Thanks Profyaffle, the old springs had to be replaced as they were the original ones and they were nearly touching the bump stops Shocked i have found that the oem springs are just right with height and no roll as you go round the corner's as the yellow ones did and i found that the yellow ones were a bit softer/springier Confused 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. So last week as it was getting nearer the weekend i was getting excited as the weather was going to stay dry for the whole day and as i watched the weather forecast on Friday evening for the Saturday, it was not going to rain Very Happy I had made sure that i did not book anything for that day, including anything with swmbo Wink

So i was up early to make sure that nothing was parked out the front of the house, so went out the back and drove Millie around to the front, then went in and had some breakfast, then got all the stuff ready and i started on Millie Very Happy
The first 2 pic's are the before ones, i was out and took these about 8.30am Wink .....................

So i started as i always do and spent a lot of time clearing all the mud and crud from all under her so all was good there, then the next stage was to rinse all the mud off of the body work. When i was doing that i noticed on the N/S that there was streaks of tar ( about 1-2" long ) all down the side of her Sad so before i could wash her off i decided to de-tar her, i could not remember the last time i had done this, so when i finally de-tared her off all over, i set about washing her off, then i dried her all over, i noticed then it was lunch time 1pm ish Shocked where had the time gone, so i stopped for about an hour for some grub.

After lunch time was over i went to do the ( what i call it ) 3 stage polish, i only do the number ' 1 ' when it is the first polish of the year ..........................................

So after spending much much therapy time doing all this, when i had finished i looked at the time and it was about 6pm ish, this was the end result ..............................

Mr. Green

I cleaned all the glass, inside and the outside as well with Autoglm glass cleaner, imo you cant beat it, i have tried others but nothing comes close Wink

I did all 4 wheel arches as well, i'm trying a different type of product on these as i have tried all sorts and they dont seem to last Rolling Eyes so i will let you know how i get on with it Wink

So Saturday was a truly therapy day for me and loved it a lot Mr. Green

The last pic is a pic that i thought Millie looked at home.............................................
