Sorry, but Series Ones are boring and overpriced now.
There are still some original gems to be found in Series Twos at a fraction of the price, and are probably nicer vehicles too. For the person who likes to stay ahead of the investor "herd", original early Ninetys and One Tens are where it's at, if you can find one. It will soon be early original unmolested (and un-rotted) Defenders - again, if you can find one. |

Ian, it belongs to a good friend who has been into landrovers for a long time and used to have his own landrover workshop/business.
It’s used regularly and occasionally comes to pub meets and was on the Wiltshire Trundle for the morning last year. A very nice original vehicle, even without its original plate. |

SI's could never be boring and not sure if overpriced but certainly way out of my budget. But I do like early Defenders, ideally 110 brown or red two-tone with cream top half, just lovely. James

That would be the early One Tens up to June 1984, in Masai Red, Roan or Russet Brown and all with Limestone upper parts then? Lovely indeed! This one needs a bit of work though. |

I'm starting to think the same as SlideyWindows, alot of early vehicles are not practical any longer to drive and end up being just trailer queen's. More interesting vehicles that are not just bought as investments and are practical. Working towards Carry on camping! |

Do not agree. Ours is out on the road most days. It is Small's favourite car and she will not get rid of it. The only thing that as spoilt her enjoyment is the increased value over the last ten years which now means she has to be careful where she leaves it. 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue
