Friday night + wine + eBay = My 110
Yes folks, after a few glasses of wine on a Friday night back in July, I became the owner of a 110. I really wanted something that I could service and maintain myself and I love the character of the Defender. So while the purchase may have been alcohol fuelled and impulsive, I don't regret it. Cool

A mate of mine is a Land Rover specialist and he's looked it over. Says it's pretty sound, though the chassis will need replacing in a few years.

My knowledge of vehicle maintenance is relatively limited to be honest, so I'm finding this forum, YouTube and the internet in general to be invaluable. I'm currently going through a series of checks as demonstrated on LRTV on YouTube. Amazingly helpful videos.

My plan first of all is to fix any issues that come out of the checks that I'm going through at the moment. There's quite a list so far and I'm not that far through the checks! Confused

Longer term I'd like to rebuild the engine and replace the chassis, though we're talking a couple of years away yet.

Anyway, apologies in advance for any silly questions!

Nice purchase. Though with any Defender and there unique problems I can see you needing a few glasses of wine more often now Rolling with laughter For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
