LOUD NOISES!!!!
After 8 months of no dramas, 'Fender now making two odd sounds that I can't really find discussed anywhere else.

First is like a creaking /plastic-y knocking/creaking sound under the driver's footwell (also can feel it through my feet). Happens on any uneven ground - even slightly wobbly tarmac. It doesn't sound anything like the noise it would make if a bush had gone and doesn't seem to be any play in the shafts.

Second is a weird noise under acceleration. Doesn't happen all the time but is almost like an electrical/deep kazoo sound from the engine. Can't explain it.

I've got audio recordings of them - just need to figure out how to get them from my phone onto here. Got the motor booked in for a service but can't get me in until the 2nd Oct and my curious mind has got me a bit worried. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

Is the creaking not the floor Plate moving or flexing? Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

I had an underfoot one for a while.

I'm away from my vehicle at the moment so cant climb under to take a photo of the offending bolt, so I simply suggest getting under there and tighten all the body to chassis fasteners you can see in the area. I think in the end it was a long bolt that hold quite a few bits together, it goes right through the first outrigger aft of the front wheels... Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

I've had the same type of underfoot creak for 4 years tried many times but failed so for to trace it, there is a complete thread on here about it somewhere, DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

The bolt I refer to was ruddy tight when I found it, but cracking it and doing it up a snip more solved it after all.

Depending on how patient you are you could try a penetrating lube in the area, or giving each questionable spot a well measured tap with a hammer to see if you change it's creaky characteristics (could make it worse ha ha, or I suppose a bottle of fizz could drop out too) Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
Got the Landy in the dry this morning for a good poke around its undercarriage. Looks like whoever put mine together forgot his 10mm spanner. Pretty much every 10mm nut was loose underneath. On limited testing seems to have done the trick. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews
