Idiots!
I have a lot of respect for our rescue teams be it mountain, cave, mine, lifeboat etc which are predominantly made up of volunteers. These volunteers will go out in terrible conditions to assist people in need and will put their own lives in peril let alone the disruption to their own personal lives.

Now people have the right to participate in their own sport be it walking, caving, climbing etc. However with rights comes responsibilities and this includes taking part in their activity in a reasonably safe and sensible manner.

Getting stoned out of whatever little brains this group has can in no way be considered sensible

IDIOTS

Now in general terms I am not one for charging the rescuees however when people are so irresponsible I think they shout be hit where it hurts, i.e. in the pocket. Also I mean at a realistic cost of man hours involved at £25/hr plus onging expenses such as vehicle and helicopter expenses.

Ferking idiots!

With rights come responsibilites!

Words fail me.

Let's hope they learned their lesson and understood the peril they were putting themselves and all of the rescuers in.

Having been involved in two separate two voluntary rescue organisations in my younger days nothing surprises me, people don't use the brains that they were born with to understand the dangers they put themselves and others in. Nothing has changed in 40 years since I stopped. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

In the natural world, creatures clearly unfit to survive die and generally do so before they can procreate. This process of natural selection serves to 'clean up' the gene pool and keep species fit and healthy for the future.

Rescuing people like this completely defeats the natural process and I have little doubt that it is the reason why there are so many stupid people roaming the planet.

Ah, but if you look back to when the human race lived truly sustainable lifestyles as hunter/gatherers, there would have been no fat people. If you couldn't run you either couldn't catch your food or you were eaten by a predator. Either of these, I feel, would be a good incentive to stay nimble!

Generally obesity (and many other consumptive health issues) is a symptom of a lack of poverty, although I stress that I am not advocating either. One does however tend to follow a lack of the other.

I don't feel that ASDA, or indeed any aspect of human behaviour, can now represent "natural behaviour"!

I'm surprised the drugged hikers have not yet employed one of those friendly Solicitors to lodge a compensation claim against the rescuers for not coming quickly enough, handling them gently enough or catering adequately for their "special needs".

Just caught a little bit on the radio.

MRT leader stated service was from volunteers and free of charge.

However they had 3 other incidents that day, so team was busy and had to call in assistance from a neighbouring team.

Like any emergency service irresponsible call outs can delay/hinder response to a real emergency which in extreme circumstances could result in a death which could have been prevented if resources were not being taken up needlessly by idiots.
