Help ordering brake components (discs and brakes)
hi.

Did the Td5 leave the factory with solid discs or vented discs?

Currently it has solid discs on the rear and cross drilled/vented discs up front. Makes it feel like an upgrade effort.
one rotor is developing a wavy surface and i would like to buy a suitable/complete set to cover all corners.

Are the calipers it has suitable for both vented and solid discs? Are brake pads interchangeable or there are some more suitable for vented/cross drilled discs?

FTC902 = vented discs (delphi) at 46 a pair.
SFP000260 = brake pads for front axle. (manufacture names: britpart/ferodo/mintex/ap/ebc)

With regards to the rear brakes i am at a loss as there are so many different part numbers Sad

Am i one the right track? (i am using different LR supplier websites to cross reference the numbers since i don't have a TD5 parts book) new.lrcat.com and retroanaconda as well

I believe they all had vented discs up front. If you have vented now, then you should replace with vented. No sense going to solid.

On the rear axle it depends on what axle you have. Early Td5s had the old salisbury disc axle, later TD5's have the rover type rear axle. Plenty of photos out there to help figure out which! Other than that, use the VIN code, sites like paddocks are pretty good at declaring which VINs which parts work with.

sorry for being so daft.. forgot to put the details of the motor. it is a 2003 crewcab. well it was.. as it is down in parts up to 50% Sad doh... it does not have abs or traction control. not sure if removed by PO or not installed.

the rear diff is a rover type, def not salisbury. i am from Malta and don't wish to ship in not matching parts.. i will have a look at the diagrams. thanks a lot.

ordering parts for the series3 was so much easy no headaches involved Whistle
