I take it the battery is connected to the truck all the time with the trickle charger on without any problems.

Hi Bob,
Yes battery connected all the time. CTEK is designed to charge this way, it even has a connector for the cigar lighter socket if it has a permanent live feed. I have never had a problem and even seriously abused batteries have lasted 6/7 years without failure.

The Ctek indicator will fit in a Td5 dash if you don't have electric windows.
Saves having to get to the battery when it needs a charge.

That's very neat, unfortunately no spare switch blanks! 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black.

The battery is charging in an enclosed space every time you start and drive the car. The CTEK is not a rapid charger, and as Blackwolf says the battery is / should be vented anyway.

I have a '13 Puma.
Could it be charged with my Ctek via the cig lighter socket?
Pickles.

I would say no, unless your cig lighter socket is permanently live. It's not on my 2010 Puma. 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black.
