Bonnet Alarm Switch Position
Can anyone upload a photo of the bonnet alarm switch and where / how it makes contact with the Td5 all aluminium bonnet.

My Defender had a Puma bonnet; but the buldge touched the roll cage when opened; and it had hiddious stripes. So I swapped it with a late Td5 one; but the alarm switch doesn't seem to be in the correct position to touch the bonnet; the bracket looks like its adjusted as far as it can go.

The Puma bonnet had a rubber bung attached (diy job) that touched; the new bonnet doesn't have anything.

Is there an angle bracket or something?
Doesn't hepl that my switch is knackered too and gets stuck half way down, so I have not got a new switch ready to fit.

My Defender is a 1998 so should have had the sytle in the photo; but i now has the later type (not Puma)

Bracket and switch fitted from original.

later bracket fitted and all sorted.
Side by side the two brackets are very similar looking, just slightly longer plate where the holes are and they sit lower.

If anyone else searches in the future - confirmation! Bow down to dorsetsmith
