Thanks, I have the same H/U so will try trimming the clock this weekend and see if that works. Still a bit worried about some of the loom lengths though, did you have to extend any looms?

Just the hazard switch wiring. It was so tight either around the back or on top of the headunit I had no choice.

Bought a new connector and contacts then cut the old connector off and in line spliced the extension loom on. 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html

[quote="JAY BOY"]Someone told me that you need to use a hot air gun and gently melt the plastic pipe and reform it to accept the new DD system.

Thumbs Up Yes the best way is to heat the pipes at the back then push in the stereo to mould the shape it needs to be, but watch you don't heat to much and puncture the plastic as seen this done before.

Depends on your headunit I suppose. My pioneer sph da 120 has quite a large unit on it and the bottom of the clock would foul on the top of the unit and prevent the facia sitting right. I removed A toblerone shape bit of plastic from the rear bottom part of the clock. Clock still works and facia fits properly.

Same here with Pioneer Unit

Finally all finished, but as people have said, a proper pig to fit. Was really struggling until I realised I hadn't transferred over the metal clips from the old fascia - doh Embarassed

Think I might have damaged the clock cutting the corner out though as it seems to have stopped working...
