Just like to say thanks to everyone who was part of this day, especially Daz110 for his excellent map reading and leading us around the lanes!
Definitely would like to do this again, but perhaps with an earlier start time. Here are a few photos

As I was next man though to Daz110 near bath I was going to take a picture then thought he would rather me get around the front to pull him out but as it turn out he didn't need a tow so got it wrong again

Love the dogs too.
I haven't washed mine yet, in fact been back out that way again but not to the Plains. Done a small lane. Took all the stones out my tyre treads this morning, had click, click, click. Heading home.

Mines still covered in muck.
 Had to go down the pub today instead, so no time for Landy cleaning

I saw that right from the back nearly! A few water holes out there you'd never get out of I think. And to think it's only early October, imagine in the wet weather say January February ish.
The second lane was fun the grassy field edge, especially being just behind Nick. (Maris Widgeon.) He was going forward sideways for a while, I was slipping a bit towards the hillside. After you guys went though it was muddier for us at the back. It was good also that all the people we passed were very good, and I think although a bit of a large group it was the only way to do it practically. Click image to enlarge As Steve mentioned, i was doing the gates and as we went through and on the last one i noticed my o/s/b mud flap was hanging off, yes the week spot gave away for the 3rd time for me, so all cable tied up and this got me home all ok intact
The next pic's were when we got on to the plains and had a dinner break .................................

Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge After we crossed a main road, where four off the group went there own ways, there was five of us left to do the long lane to the end to meet up with the A303 and we all said our good bye's and went on our way home .................. I know that it was our first meet and would agree that an earlier start next time would be better

That very last lane was pretty undulating it was like a fairground ride.
