TD5 Fuse Box
Morning....

I have a TD5 ex MOD White Fleet 110 Station Waggon.

It is a basic variant so doesn't have electric windows, heated seats, heated windscreen etc. etc.

I want to add this in retrospectively in the positions where they belong from factory.

My understanding is that the heated seat wiring will be present, but ill need to add the switch side of it to the dash.

I don't have any electric window stuff at all and the fuse box forward of the gear stick doesn't even have the blade fuse holders to accommodate putting it in.
To get it to work I would need the inserts for the fuse holder and then wire these up some how.

Any idea where to get the fuse holder inserts? and any ideas how these are wired up?
Are they just a "buzz bar"

In all honesty that is a terrible idea unless you are very good with car electronics. Adding stuff into the original LR wiring can cause all sorts of headaches when trying to chase faults and problems. Not to mention it is an enormous amount of work

Its highly unlikely the heated seat wiring will be there, it certainly wasnt on my 02 90 CSW

If you are adding in extras the best bet is to mount an auxiliary fuse box, if you plan on keeping LR seats with removable bases then it can be mounted beside the battery in the seat box, then run all your wiring and mount your relays in there.

Sure, ok.

I currently have a 100ah leisure battery and the started battery under the passenger seat.

I have zero space in there so won't be able to get anything extra in it.

I think the starter battery is not the original (in fact I now its not)

Im curious to know what size the starter battery should be and what size leisure battery other people have been running to be able to get both these and the cut off switch and the fuse box in there?

when the car isn't running the only draw on my leisure is my fridge, a snowmaster classic 60l. it draws about 3a on tick over I think and the occasional iPhone/ipad.

In that case could always mount the fuse box on the bulkhead. Thats what I did with my old 90

Or you could buy one of the various under cubby box trays/storage places and fit the aux box there.
