No, the five door chassis has a dip under the rear footwell and extra bracketry to accommodate the different body and for things like seat belt mounts. Darren

would a body of a 5 door fit on a 3 door chassis just for transportation purposes of the body? i want to buy a body but it's far from where i live and on top of that i would love to move the body around as my project evolves.

so only for transportation purposes

I don't think so, I'm afraid. It'd probably work the other way around but I appreciate that doesn't help. Darren

Erm, no...

The chassis are all the same. The difference is in the bolt-on brackets to suit different rear bodies.

That's what i thought. I think the 5 door has an extra cross member under the rear seats, but even that just bolts on?

Really? What am I thinking of then? Series Land Rovers, perhaps?

Anyway, sorry for the confusion. Darren

I did just double check and there is basically only one chassis for each wheelbase in the parts catalogue.
