Bulkhead removal bar kits?
Has anyone fitted one of these, what was your experience during fitting and afterward?

Hi.

Yes I have fitted one of these. It was a good few hours work but the results were worth it.

*It is much easier to do with the roof removed.
* There is a fair amount of mess made so a workshop vacuum cleaner is handy.
*A angle grinder with a few 1.0mm 'Plasma' blades makes for easy cutting
*then using a carbide 'Flappy wheel' takes off the sharp edges.
*Measure thrice cut / drill once.
*Lr build tolerance means the bar is a easier fit if you engage all the bolts first then progressive tighten them down.

After the bar creates a better seat position if you are of that tall persuasion and IMHO the cabin felt much more spacious and reaching stuff in the back was fair easier.

My Puma has this from the factory. Did all Pumas have it or was it an optional extra?

I'm about to do this job this weekend and was wondering whether a reciprocating saw would do the job as opposed to a grinder as I think it would be less messy! 1995 300TDi Hardtop Nato Green
